उत्तर प्रदेश के बहराइच जिले में मंगलवार की सुबह एक दर्दनाक सड़क हादसा हुआ। गोंडा-बहराइच मार्ग पर खूंटेहना चौकी क्षेत्र के काटिलिया गांव के पास एक तेज रफ्तार प्राइवेट बस ने सामने से आ रहे एक ऑटो को ज़ोरदार टक्कर मार दी। हादसा इतना भीषण था कि ऑटो पूरी तरह से क्षतिग्रस्त हो गया और उसमें सवार एक ही परिवार के छह लोगों की मौके पर ही मौत हो गई। इस हादसे में आठ से अधिक लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए हैं, जिन्हें तत्काल जिला अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।

क्या हुआ हादसे में?

प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के अनुसार, यह परिवार हीरापुर गांव (थाना-हुजूरपुर) से पयागपुर थाना क्षेत्र के कोलुहवा गांव जा रहा था। वे एक ऑटो बुक कर रिश्तेदार के यहां वलीमा समारोह में शामिल होने के लिए निकले थे। तभी अचानक सामने से आ रही तेज रफ्तार बस ने ऑटो को टक्कर मार दी। टक्कर इतनी ज़ोरदार थी कि ऑटो के परखच्चे उड़ गए और उसमें सवार लोग इधर-उधर बिखर गए।

मृतकों में कौन-कौन शामिल?

प्रारंभिक जानकारी के अनुसार मृतकों में महिलाएं और बच्चे भी शामिल हैं। सभी मृतक एक ही परिवार के बताए जा रहे हैं। पुलिस ने शवों को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया है। फिलहाल उनकी पहचान की पुष्टि स्थानीय प्रशासन द्वारा की जा रही है।

घायलों की स्थिति गंभीर

हादसे में घायल आठ से अधिक लोगों को बहराइच जिला अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है, जहां कुछ की हालत नाजुक बताई जा रही है। डॉक्टरों की एक विशेष टीम उनका इलाज कर रही है। प्रशासन घायलों के परिवारों से संपर्क साधने में जुटा है।

प्रशासन की प्रतिक्रिया

मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस और प्रशासनिक टीम ने स्थिति को नियंत्रित किया। बहराइच के एसपी और डीएम ने भी घटना स्थल का दौरा किया और पीड़ितों के परिवारों को हरसंभव मदद का आश्वासन दिया। हादसे के बाद बस चालक मौके से फरार हो गया, जिसकी तलाश जारी है।

सवालों के घेरे में बस संचालक

इस हादसे ने एक बार फिर से सड़क सुरक्षा, ओवरस्पीडिंग और बस संचालन में लापरवाही पर सवाल खड़े कर दिए हैं। स्थानीय लोगों ने प्रशासन से मांग की है कि गोंडा-बहराइच मार्ग पर तेज गति से दौड़ने वाले वाहनों पर सख्ती से रोक लगाई जाए और बस चालक पर हत्या का मुकदमा दर्ज किया जाए।

Tragic Road Accident in Bahraich: Speeding Bus Rams into Auto, Six of a Family Dead, Several Injured

A horrific road accident took place on Tuesday morning in Bahraich district of Uttar Pradesh. On the Gonda-Bahraich highway near Katiliya village, under the jurisdiction of Khuntehna police outpost, a speeding private bus collided head-on with an auto-rickshaw, leaving six members of the same family dead on the spot and over eight others seriously injured.

What Happened?

According to eyewitnesses, the victims were residents of Heerapur village (under Huzurpur police station). They had booked an auto-rickshaw to attend a family wedding (Walima) in Koluhwa village, under Payagpur police station. As the auto was en route, a high-speed bus rammed into it, completely smashing the vehicle and scattering the passengers.

Details of the Deceased

Initial reports suggest that women and children are among the deceased, all belonging to a single family. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for postmortem. Officials are in the process of confirming the identities of the victims.

Condition of the Injured

More than eight people sustained serious injuries in the crash. They have been admitted to Bahraich district hospital, where some are reported to be in critical condition. A team of doctors is attending to them, and efforts are on to contact their family members.

Police & Administration’s Response

Police and administrative officials promptly reached the scene to manage the situation. Both the Superintendent of Police (SP) and the District Magistrate (DM) of Bahraich visited the spot and assured all possible help to the victims’ families. The bus driver fled the scene immediately after the accident and is currently absconding. A manhunt has been launched to nab him.

This incident has once again raised concerns about road safety, over-speeding, and negligent public transport operations. Locals are demanding stricter action against reckless drivers on the Gonda-Bahraich route and legal proceedings against the bus operator for criminal negligence.
